In short: IBM MaaS360 is the IBM product we supply: a cloud unified endpoint management (UEM) platform for phones, tablets and laptops. Forever Systems supplies the Essentials, Deluxe and Enterprise editions, each licensed per managed device on monthly or annual terms, and handles set-up, enrolment, licence changes and renewals from one UK account.
What we supply from IBM
IBM sells a very wide range of enterprise software, from databases to mainframe tools. On Software Licensing UK we supply one IBM product family: IBM MaaS360, a software-as-a-service platform for managing and securing the devices your staff use for work. You may also see it called IBM Security MaaS360, its earlier name, which still appears in some IBM material; IBM's product pages now use IBM MaaS360.
If you are looking for IBM licences for other products, such as IBM Cloud, Db2 or Cognos, we are not the right supplier, but we are happy to point you in the right direction.
This page covers buying MaaS360 from us. For a feature-by-feature comparison of the editions, platforms and requirements, see our IBM MaaS360 licensing page.
MaaS360 in brief
MaaS360 is unified endpoint management: one cloud console to enrol, configure, secure and support company-owned and personal devices across Apple, Android and Windows. It covers device and app management, identity and conditional access, a container that separates work data from personal data on BYOD devices, and IBM's AI and analytics insights that highlight risks in your estate.
The three editions we supply build on each other. Essentials is device, app and identity management. Deluxe adds a secure mail, calendar and contacts app. Enterprise adds secure browsing and VPN, gateways to internal resources, content management, app security, document editing and sync, and mobile threat management. IBM also publishes a Premier edition and add-ons such as remote support and mobile threat defence; if you need one of those, ask us and we will confirm what we can supply.
Terms, trials and how you are billed
Every MaaS360 edition is licensed per managed device. A phone, a tablet and a laptop used by the same person count as three devices, so count devices rather than staff before you ask for a quote (see per-user vs per-device licensing).
We supply each edition on a monthly term, where the device count can go up or down as your fleet changes, or an annual term for a fixed 12-month commitment. A trial of MaaS360 Essentials can be set up before you commit, so you can enrol a few devices and test policies. Prices depend on edition, term and device count, so ask us for a quote. Our guide to monthly vs annual licences explains the trade-offs.
Moving to MaaS360 or renewing it
If you are moving from another device management product, plan for devices to be re-enrolled: a device can only be managed by one MDM at a time, so the old enrolment has to be removed before MaaS360 takes over. We usually start with a pilot group, carry your existing compliance rules and app list across, then move the rest of the fleet by department so nobody is left without email.
If you already run MaaS360 bought elsewhere, talk to us before your renewal date. We will review how many devices are really in use, whether your edition still fits and whether a monthly or annual term suits you better, and confirm what IBM allows for moving the subscription to your Forever Systems account.
Buying IBM MaaS360 through Forever Systems
Buying through us puts MaaS360 on the same account and invoice as your other software. We help you choose the edition, set up the tenant, connect Apple Business Manager and Android Enterprise, build compliance policies and enrol devices. After go-live we handle device count changes, edition upgrades and renewals, and our engineers can take on day-to-day device management if you prefer.

Contact usFrequently asked questions
Is IBM MaaS360 licensed per user or per device?
Per managed device. Each phone, tablet or computer enrolled in MaaS360 needs a licence, so a user with a phone and a laptop needs two.
Can I buy IBM MaaS360 monthly?
Yes. We supply MaaS360 Essentials, Deluxe and Enterprise on monthly terms, where the device count can change, or on annual terms for a 12-month commitment.
Is there a free trial of IBM MaaS360?
Yes. IBM offers a free trial of MaaS360, and we can arrange a trial of MaaS360 Essentials before you buy so you can enrol a few devices and test your policies.
Can I move an existing MaaS360 subscription to Forever Systems?
Ask us before your renewal date. We will review your device count and edition and confirm what IBM allows for moving the subscription to your Forever Systems account.
Do you sell other IBM software?
No. On this site we supply IBM MaaS360 only. For other IBM products you would need an IBM software specialist.
