ThreatDown Mobile Security

Protection for Chromebooks, iOS, iPadOS and Android devices against harmful websites, malicious apps and unwanted ads, managed with your other ThreatDown endpoints.

Contact us

In short: ThreatDown Mobile Security protects Chromebooks, iPhones, iPads and Android devices against harmful websites, malicious apps and unwanted in-app ads, with the protections available varying by platform. Devices are managed and monitored in the same ThreatDown console as your computers. Through Forever Systems it is licensed per device and billed monthly.

What ThreatDown Mobile Security is

Phones, tablets and Chromebooks open the same email links and websites as laptops, but they are often left out of endpoint security. ThreatDown Mobile Security, formerly sold as Malwarebytes Mobile Security for Business, brings them into the same console as your Endpoint Protection and EDR.

It covers Chromebooks, iOS and iPadOS, and Android. ThreatDown describes protection against harmful websites, malicious apps and unwanted in-app ads, with policies set and devices monitored centrally. For us that console is ThreatDown OneView.

Requirements and deployment

The ThreatDown app is installed on each device and linked to your organisation in the console. For company-owned devices we normally deploy it through your mobile device management (MDM) tool, such as Microsoft Intune, so it installs without users having to do anything. For bring-your-own devices, users install the app from their app store and link it to your organisation using the instructions we send.

Our usual rollout:

  1. List devices by platform and ownership (company or personal).
  2. Push the app through MDM, or send enrolment instructions to personal device users.
  3. Apply web and app protection policies per group.
  4. Monitor detections in the console with your other endpoints.

Who it suits

It suits schools and colleges with Chromebook fleets, field and site teams who work mainly from phones and tablets, and any organisation already using ThreatDown that wants mobile devices in the same console. It is not a replacement for MDM: you still need mobile device management to enforce passcodes, encryption and app deployment.

How we help

We deploy the app through your MDM, set policies per device type, watch detections alongside your computers and keep device counts accurate on your Forever Systems invoice. When a phone is lost, replaced or handed to a new starter, we move the licence across so you are not paying for devices that no longer exist. Contact us for a quote.

  • Monthly or annual terms where the vendor offers them, and help timing renewals and commitments
  • Licence changes handled for you: add or remove users, upgrade editions and true-up without starting a new contract
  • Deployment and support from engineers who run these products every day, not just a reseller account
  • Consolidated billing and renewal reminders so nothing lapses unexpectedly
