In short: Timus Networks is a SASE vendor, now owned by CyberFOX, whose single platform, Timus SASE, combines zero trust network access, an always-on agent, a cloud firewall and, on the Advanced plan, a secure web gateway. Forever Systems supplies Timus SASE per user, invoiced monthly, with deployment, policy design and licence changes handled by our UK team.
What Timus Networks does
Timus Networks builds one product: a cloud-native secure access service edge (SASE) platform called Timus SASE. Its job is to replace the traditional office VPN, and the firewall rules that sit behind it, with identity-based access that follows each user wherever they work.
Instead of routing remote staff back through a box in the comms cupboard, Timus connects users and offices to cloud gateways. Access to each application, server or SaaS service is then granted according to who the user is, which device they are on and whether that device passes its security checks. The main building blocks are:
- Zero trust network access (ZTNA): per-user, per-application access rules with conditional access and adaptive multi-factor authentication
- Always-on agent: a background agent that keeps users connected and protected without them having to start a VPN
- Dynamic cloud firewall: layer 3 to layer 7 policy applied in the cloud, plus site-to-site IPsec tunnels to connect offices and cloud networks
- Dedicated static IP addresses: so you can restrict SaaS applications to traffic from your own Timus gateway
- Secure web gateway: URL and category filtering with malware protection, on the Advanced plan
- Device posture checks: device health signals, including integrations with endpoint protection from Microsoft Defender, SentinelOne, Bitdefender, Heimdal and Huntress
The full feature list, plan comparison and deployment requirements are on our Timus SASE licensing page.
Timus and CyberFOX
CyberFOX acquired Timus Networks in June 2026. Timus SASE is now presented as a CyberFOX platform, alongside CyberFOX's AutoElevate privileged access tool and its password manager. The Timus SASE product name, its plans and the way we supply it are unchanged, and the Timus console and agent continue as before.
For organisations already buying from CyberFOX, this means secure remote access and local admin control now come from the same vendor. If you are interested in both, we can quote them together on one account; see our CyberFOX page for the rest of its range.
How Timus is licensed
Timus SASE is licensed per user, and each user licence covers several of that person's devices, so a member of staff with a laptop and a phone needs one licence, not two. Timus sells two plans, Essentials and Advanced; the plan we normally supply is Advanced, which removes the Essentials cap of five users per organisation and adds web filtering, reporting and API access.
Through us, Timus SASE is invoiced monthly on an annual term with a minimum commitment, which we explain before you order. Additional gateways are quoted alongside the user licences. The plan-by-plan detail is on the Timus SASE page.
Prices depend on the number of users, gateways and the commitment, so ask us for a quote. For background on user-based licensing, see per-user vs per-device licensing.
Buying Timus through Forever Systems
Timus is built to be run by an IT provider, with a multi-tenant console and a sales model aimed at the channel. When you take it through us:
- We scope it: list the applications, servers and offices people need to reach, and the identity provider you use, such as Microsoft Entra ID or Okta.
- We design the policies: user groups, application access rules, posture requirements and web filtering categories.
- We roll it out: deploy the agent silently to managed devices, connect office sites with IPsec tunnels and restrict key SaaS apps to your static IP.
- We manage the licences: one account, one invoice, and user changes as staff join and leave.
If you are retiring an on-premises VPN or firewall, we plan the cut-over so remote staff keep working throughout.
Who Timus suits
Timus fits UK organisations with remote or hybrid staff, several small offices or cloud-hosted servers, and no appetite for running VPN concentrators. Typical examples are professional services firms, multi-site businesses, charities and schools with staff working from home.
It also helps with compliance evidence. Identity-based access, MFA and device posture checks support the access control and secure configuration requirements in Cyber Essentials, and connection logs and audit trails support investigations.

Contact usFrequently asked questions
Who owns Timus Networks?
CyberFOX, the company behind AutoElevate, acquired Timus Networks in June 2026. Timus SASE continues as one of CyberFOX's platforms, and we supply new and existing subscriptions in the same way as before.
Is Timus SASE licensed per user or per device?
Per user. Each user licence covers a set number of that person's devices: two on the Essentials plan and four on the Advanced plan.
Can Timus replace our office VPN?
Yes, that is its main job. The always-on agent connects users to Timus cloud gateways, and zero trust policies decide which applications and servers each person can reach, so a VPN appliance is no longer needed for remote access.
Can I buy Timus directly from Timus Networks?
Timus is designed to be bought and managed through IT service providers, with a multi-tenant console for that purpose. Forever Systems supplies the licences, sets up the platform and handles changes on your behalf.
