In short: Bitdefender GravityZone Cloud MSP Security is cloud-managed endpoint protection for Windows workstations and servers, macOS and Linux. It combines machine learning malware prevention, exploit defence, process monitoring, network attack defence, web and device control in one agent. Through Forever Systems it is licensed per protected endpoint and billed monthly, with EDR, patching, encryption and email add-ons.
What GravityZone Cloud MSP Security is
GravityZone Cloud MSP Security is the version of Bitdefender's business endpoint protection that IT providers deliver to their customers from a multi-tenant cloud console. You get Bitdefender's layered prevention technology, managed by us and billed on monthly consumption rather than a fixed annual quantity.
A single lightweight agent runs on each device. Policies, alerts, quarantine, reports and remote tasks are all handled in the GravityZone cloud console, so there is no on-premises management server or extra hardware to maintain. The console also integrates with major RMM and PSA platforms through APIs, which is how we keep device counts and billing aligned.
What is included
| Layer | What it does |
|---|---|
| Antimalware with machine learning | Blocks known and new malware, with local and cloud scanning |
| Advanced Threat Control | Continuously watches running processes and stops those that behave maliciously |
| Exploit defence | Blocks techniques used to hijack legitimate applications in memory |
| Network attack defence | Detects brute force attempts, password stealers, network exploits and lateral movement |
| Web filtering | Blocks phishing and malicious sites and scans unknown URLs, including HTTPS traffic |
| Content control | Restricts web access by category and schedule |
| Device control | Blocks or restricts USB storage and other attachable devices |
| Endpoint risk analytics | Finds risky operating system and application misconfigurations and ranks them for fixing |
Optional modules add GravityZone EDR, Advanced Threat Security (HyperDetect tunable machine learning and Sandbox Analyzer), Patch Management, Full Disk Encryption, Mobile Security and Extended Email Security.
How it is licensed
| Item | How it works |
|---|---|
| Unit | Each protected endpoint: desktop, laptop, server or virtual machine |
| Term | Monthly, consumption-based billing through your Forever Systems account |
| Add-on modules | Enabled per company or group of devices, so you can apply EDR to servers only, for example |
| Licence keys | None: devices enrol with an installer linked to your company |
| Minimums | Bitdefender states there are no minimum commitments |
Prices depend on the number of endpoints and modules, so ask us for a quote. Our guide to per-user vs per-device licensing explains why endpoint counting suits mixed estates.
Requirements and deployment
Bitdefender supports Windows workstations and servers, macOS and Linux, on physical machines, virtual machines and cloud workloads. Supported operating system versions and hardware minimums change as Bitdefender updates its agent, so we check your estate against Bitdefender's current requirements list before deployment and flag any device that is out of support.
A typical deployment with us:
- Audit devices and confirm which modules each group needs.
- Remove the existing antivirus so two products are not competing on the same device.
- Deploy the agent through your RMM, Intune, Group Policy or a download link.
- Apply tuned policies for workstations, servers and remote users, then review detections for the first fortnight.
Who it suits
GravityZone Cloud MSP Security suits small and mid-sized organisations that want strong prevention without running their own security server, especially those with a mix of Windows, Mac and Linux machines. Schools, charities and professional services firms like the monthly usage model because device numbers move through the year. It also supports the malware protection control in Cyber Essentials.
If you need someone to watch alerts around the clock, pair it with EDR and Bitdefender's MDR service, or compare other options in EDR, XDR and MDR.
How we help
We scope the estate, quote each module separately, deploy the agent and run the console for you. When staff join or leave, or you add a server, we update the deployment and your invoice follows. You get regular summaries of blocked threats, risky configurations and devices that have dropped off protection. Contact us for a quote or a trial on a handful of devices.

Contact usFrequently asked questions
What is the difference between GravityZone Cloud MSP Security and GravityZone Business Security?
Both use Bitdefender's GravityZone prevention technology. Business Security is one of Bitdefender's plans for organisations buying direct; Cloud MSP Security is delivered by an IT provider from a multi-tenant console with monthly consumption billing and optional modules.
Does GravityZone Cloud MSP Security include EDR?
Not by default. EDR is added as a module or as part of Bitdefender's Secure package, on the endpoints you choose, using the same agent and console.
What happens to our current antivirus?
Two security products on one device cause conflicts, so we remove your existing antivirus as part of deployment before the Bitdefender agent takes over.
Can it protect servers and virtual machines?
Yes. Bitdefender covers Windows servers, Linux and virtual machines as well as workstations, all licensed per protected endpoint.
