The Island Enterprise Browser is a full web browser built on Chromium, so it renders sites like Chrome and supports the extensions your users already rely on. The difference is that every security and IT control is built into the browser and managed from Island's cloud console:
- Data protection: control copy and paste, downloads, uploads, printing and screenshots per app, keep data inside approved apps, watermark and redact sensitive screens

How it is licensed
The Enterprise Browser is licensed per user. One licence covers a person on every device where they sign in to Island. Add-ons are licensed per user too, and you can apply them to just the groups that need them, for example Zero Trust for staff who reach internal systems and the Password Manager for everyone. The browser runs on Windows, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS and IGEL OS, and on iOS, iPadOS and Android for mobile. Deploy it through your existing software distribution or MDM, or let users install it and sign in with their work account. Island integrates with identity providers such as Microsoft Entra ID and Okta, and conditional access in your identity provider can require Island before a sensitive app opens. There is no VDI to build and no device agent beyond the browser itself.
