What Redstor Azure backup is
Running servers in Azure does not remove the need for backup. A deleted virtual machine, a compromised administrator account or ransomware can take out both the workload and any backups held in the same subscription. Redstor Azure backup keeps copies off-site in Redstor's own storage, immutable and encrypted, so they survive a problem in your Azure tenant.
The service is cloud-native with no hardware or installation, and is managed from the same Redstor app as Microsoft 365 backup and Google Workspace backup.

Backup files are scanned for malware as they are added or changed, and there are no egress fees for large recoveries or migrations.
How it is licensed and requirements
Redstor Azure backup includes unlimited retention, and its cost follows the workloads and data you protect. The Azure VM service covers VMs, Blob and AKS under one licence, while Amazon EKS is licensed separately, so you only add AWS protection if you run clusters there. We confirm the licence unit, term and billing frequency in your quote.
You need administrative access to the Azure subscriptions you want to protect so we can connect them, and for Kubernetes a target resource group or S3 bucket for cluster backups. Backup policies are configured once and run automatically. Redstor provides 24/7 support for Severity 1 incidents.
