In short: Valimail Core is Valimail's automated email authentication edition. It manages SPF (including Instant SPF), DKIM and DMARC for each of your domains from one console, identifies the services sending as you and helps you reach a reject policy. Forever Systems licenses it per domain, billed monthly, and runs the project for you.
What Valimail Core is
Valimail Core is the edition of Valimail that does the essential job: getting your domains to DMARC enforcement and keeping them there. It brings SPF, DKIM and DMARC for all your domains into one dashboard, works out which services are sending email as you, and lets you authorise the legitimate ones without editing DNS records each time.
The aim is a DMARC policy of reject, where receiving mail servers refuse messages that claim to come from your domain but fail authentication. That is what actually stops fake invoices and CEO fraud emails using your name, and it is what Google, Yahoo and Microsoft increasingly expect from organisations that send email at volume. Core gets you there by automating the parts that usually cause projects to stall: SPF records that grow past the lookup limit, DKIM keys nobody can track, and senders nobody knew about.
What is included in Valimail Core
| Feature | What it does for you |
|---|---|
| Automated DMARC | Publishes and updates your DMARC policy from the console as you move from monitoring to quarantine and reject |
| Instant SPF | Hosted SPF that answers each query with a record tailored to the sending server, avoiding the ten DNS lookup limit |
| DKIM management | Organises DKIM for each authorised sending service |
| Sending service library | Recognises a large catalogue of email services by name, so you can authorise them in a click |
| Multi-domain dashboard | One view of every domain, with role-based access for different teams |
| Team-based alerting | Notifies the right people about authentication issues and new senders |
BIMI logo management, MTA-STS, continuous protection reporting and API access are in Valimail Pro. You can start on Core and upgrade later without starting again.
How Valimail Core is licensed
Valimail Core is licensed per domain. The options we quote from are:
| Option | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Valimail Core domains | Full automated SPF, DKIM and DMARC management for each domain |
| Valimail Core reporting-only domains | DMARC visibility for domains that do not need full managed enforcement |
| Valimail Core overage | Applies if use goes beyond what your plan includes; we explain it for your domains when we quote |
Billing is on your monthly Forever Systems invoice. Include every domain you own, not just the ones that send: parked and legacy domains are a favourite with spoofers and should carry a reject policy. Ask us for a quote and we will size it to your domain list. See per-user vs per-device licensing for how domain-based licensing compares with other models.
Requirements and deployment
You need access to your public DNS, whether that is with your domain registrar, your web host or a DNS provider. Deployment involves a one-time set of DNS changes that delegate SPF and DMARC management to Valimail; from then on, changes are made in the console. Nothing is installed on your mail servers or devices, and it works with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and on-premises mail alike.
A typical rollout looks like this:
- Add all your domains and publish the Valimail records.
- Let reports build up so every sending source becomes visible.
- Authorise legitimate services and fix or retire the rest.
- Step the DMARC policy up to quarantine and then reject.
How long that takes depends on how many services send as you and how quickly each owner can make changes.
Who Valimail Core suits and how we help
Core suits organisations that want to stop domain spoofing and meet mailbox provider rules without a large in-house email team: businesses with a handful of domains, schools and trusts, charities and professional firms whose clients are targeted with fake payment requests.
We run the project with you: we review the first reports, identify every sender, agree a timetable for enforcement and keep an eye on alerts afterwards. Licence changes, extra domains and upgrades to Pro are handled on your existing account. Compare alternatives in DMARC and email authentication, or go back to the Valimail overview.

Contact usFrequently asked questions
Does Valimail Core include BIMI?
No. BIMI logo management is part of Valimail Pro, along with MTA-STS and continuous protection reporting. You can move from Core to Pro at any point.
What does Instant SPF do?
It replaces a static SPF record with a hosted one that responds to each query with an answer tailored to the sending server. That avoids SPF's ten DNS lookup limit, which often breaks SPF when many services send for you.
What is a reporting-only domain?
Valimail Core has a separate reporting-only licence line alongside fully managed domains, for domains where you want visibility of who is sending as you rather than full managed enforcement. We confirm exactly what each option covers when we quote and help you decide which licence each domain needs.
Can I buy Valimail Core monthly?
Yes. It is billed on your monthly Forever Systems invoice, and you can add or remove domains as your estate changes.
