In short: signNow, also called airSlate SignNow, is an e-signature service for sending documents for legally binding signature and tracking them. Business Premium covers templates, signing order, bulk sending, reminders and audit trails; Enterprise adds conditional and calculated fields, payment collection during signing and signer attachments. Both are licensed per sending user.
What signNow is
signNow is airSlate's electronic signature service, marketed as both signNow and airSlate SignNow. Users upload a document, add signature, date and data fields, choose the recipients and send it. Recipients sign in a browser or on a phone without an account, and the sender can see the status of every document, send reminders and download the completed file with an audit trail.
The service runs in the browser, with iOS and Android apps that airSlate says can work offline. It connects to Google Drive, Gmail and Google Workspace, Microsoft Word, Teams and SharePoint, Salesforce, NetSuite, and file storage such as Box and Dropbox. An API lets developers embed signing into websites and business systems; signNow sells API plans separately, and they are not covered here.

signNow places bulk sending in Business Premium and above, and payment collection and advanced signing tools such as conditional logic in Enterprise. If your forms change depending on answers, or you take deposits or fees as part of signing, Enterprise is the edition to look at.
How it is licensed
signNow is licensed per user, meaning each person who sends documents for signature. Recipients do not need a licence, so a small HR or sales team can collect signatures from any number of people.
| Option | Term |
|---|---|
| signNow Business Premium | Rolling monthly, or annual commitment billed monthly or annually |
| signNow Enterprise | Rolling monthly, or annual commitment billed monthly or annually |
| Trial | Available before you buy |
You can mix editions, for example Enterprise for the team that takes payments and Business Premium for everyone else, and upgrade during the term. Prices depend on edition, term and user count, so ask us for a quote. See monthly vs annual licences.
Compliance and UK use
signNow states it is compliant with GDPR, SOC 2 Type II, PCI DSS, HIPAA and FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and references eIDAS (the EU framework, retained in UK law as UK eIDAS) and the US ESIGN and UETA laws. In the UK, electronic signatures are legally recognised for most commercial agreements, including employment contracts, sales agreements, NDAs and consent forms.
Some documents still need extra steps, such as deeds that must be witnessed, and certain property and court documents. Check the requirements for each document type before moving it to e-signature.
Who it suits and how we help
signNow suits organisations that want e-signature without a large platform project: HR teams sending offer letters and onboarding packs, sales teams closing quotes, and service businesses collecting signed terms and payment together. Bulk sending helps with policy acknowledgements across a whole workforce.
Forever Systems helps you choose the edition per user, builds your first templates, connects integrations such as Google Workspace or Microsoft Teams, and handles monthly or annual billing and renewals on one account. Also comparing Foxit eSign or Nitro Sign? We can help you weigh them up.
