Users send envelopes of one or more documents for signature, track progress and keep an audit trail, with templates, bulk sending, SSO, SMS and email passcodes and custom branding. It is licensed per user with an envelope allowance, where only completed envelopes count, and extra packs of 100.
What Nitro Sign is
Nitro Sign is a cloud e-signature service. A sender places one or more documents (Nitro allows up to 15) into an envelope, adds signature, date and form fields, chooses the recipients and sends it. The sender can follow progress, send reminders and download the completed documents and audit log.
It can be used on its own, or as part of Nitro PDF Pro+ alongside the Nitro PDF editor. It works from the web, from within Nitro PDF and from Microsoft Word and Outlook, with integrations for Salesforce, Microsoft Power Automate and Zapier.

How Nitro Sign is licensed
Nitro Sign is licensed per user: each person in your organisation who sends documents for signature needs a licence.
Each plan includes an allowance of envelopes, and only completed envelopes count towards it, so drafts and envelopes that are never completed do not use it up. If your signing volume grows, add a Nitro Sign Envelopes 100 pack at any point in the term without changing plan. Unused envelopes do not roll over and expire at the end of the term.

Is Nitro Sign legally binding in the UK?
Electronic signatures are recognised in UK law under the Electronic Communications Act 2000 and the UK eIDAS Regulations, and they are widely used for commercial contracts, employment documents, supplier agreements and consent forms. Nitro Sign's audit log and passcode verification help show who signed and when.
Some documents carry extra formalities, such as deeds that must be witnessed, certain property transactions and documents for some regulators. Check with your legal adviser for those. Nitro lists support for eIDAS, ZertES, the US ESIGN Act and UETA, and certifications including SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001.
