The free allowance is enough to try AI on occasional documents. The subscription suits people who summarise, translate or question documents every day, such as bid writers, paralegals, researchers and policy teams. Because AI output can be wrong, we recommend staff check summaries and translations against the source document before relying on them for decisions or sending them to customers.
How it is licensed
The AI Assistant subscription is licensed per user and billed monthly on your Forever Systems account, alongside each person's Foxit PDF Editor or PDF Editor+ licence. You only need it for the people who use more AI than the free allowance covers, and you can add or remove it as usage changes. Note that perpetual PDF Editor licences do not include AI Assistant.
When several AI Assistant licences are managed through the Foxit Admin Console, their paid credits combine into one pool that administrators allocate, so heavy and light users balance out. Pricing depends on the number of users, so ask us for a quote.
Data protection and deployment
Before turning on AI for documents that contain personal or confidential data, check that it fits your UK GDPR and information governance policies. Foxit publishes AI user guidelines, and offers Local AI in the desktop PDF Editor on supported Windows and macOS hardware, which runs the AI model on the device, works offline and keeps processing and storage on that device.
