In short: TrendAI Vision One is Trend Micro's unified security platform. It is licensed through TrendAI Flex, formerly Trend Vision One Credits: each solution, such as Endpoint Security or Email and Collaboration Security, has a credit rate per endpoint, user or data volume, measured monthly. Through Forever Systems you are billed monthly in arrears for actual usage.
What TrendAI Vision One is
TrendAI Vision One is the platform behind Trend Micro's business security products. It gives you one console and one data lake for protection, detection and risk management across endpoints, servers, email, cloud, networks, identities, data and AI services.
Trend Micro describes the platform in three parts:
- Cyber risk exposure management: finding assets, vulnerabilities and misconfigurations and prioritising what to fix (CREM).
- Security operations: XDR, Agentic SIEM and Agentic SOAR for detection and response (XDR and Security Operations).
- Layered protection: Endpoint Security, Email and Collaboration Security, Cloud Security, network security including Zero Trust Secure Access, plus identity, data and AI security.
Threat intelligence from Trend Micro's research teams and its Zero Day Initiative runs through all three. The platform's AI Companion assistant helps analysts explain alerts, suggests next steps and helps build automations.
How TrendAI Flex licensing works
Vision One is not sold as a stack of separate product licences. Trend Micro uses TrendAI Flex, a credit-based model that replaced the name Trend Vision One Credits, and since January 2026 it has been the only Vision One licence Trend Micro sells. Older Vision One licences were converted automatically.
- One licence for the platform: there are no individual product licence keys to activate.
- Switch solutions on in the console: each solution or package you enable starts to count.
- Usage is measured: each solution has its own unit, such as endpoints, users, gigabytes of data, monitored throughput or bands of cloud resources, and most are measured from regular snapshots during the month.
- Change the mix: switch a solution off, change tier or add another one as your estate changes, without a new licence.
The console's Platform Usage and Credits app shows what each solution is consuming, so you can see the effect of a change before the bill arrives.
What you can switch on
Trend Micro says Flex gives access to more than 30 Vision One solutions and capabilities. The ones UK organisations most often use are:

How we bill Vision One
Buying direct, Trend Micro customers typically buy a pool of Flex credits for a set term and draw it down. Through Forever Systems, Trend Micro is billed monthly in arrears for what you actually used in the month, measured the way Trend Micro measures it, rather than as a credit pool you pay for up front. You do not have to forecast a credit pool or worry about it running out before the end of a term.
Because the bill follows usage, it pays to keep an eye on what is switched on. We review consumption with you, flag solutions or devices that are counting but no longer needed, and confirm the effect of any change before we make it. Deployment, requirements and moving from Worry-Free
Vision One is usually run as software as a service in a regional Trend Micro data centre, so there is no management server to install. Trend Micro also offers sovereign cloud, on-premises and air-gapped deployments for organisations with strict data sovereignty requirements. Protection is delivered by a lightweight agent on Windows, macOS and Linux endpoints and servers, API connections to services such as Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, and virtual sensors for networks.

Yes. Trend Micro now markets the platform as TrendAI Vision One under its TrendAI brand. The console, agents and your existing configuration carry on as before.
Do I need separate licence keys for each Vision One product?
No. TrendAI Flex is one licence for the whole platform. You switch solutions on in the console rather than activating separate product keys.
