Business Plus or Enterprise?
Business Plus is as far as the Business family goes, and it is capped at 300 users. Organisations that outgrow it, or need more security controls, move to an Enterprise edition.

If you are well under 300 users and Vault plus device management covers your obligations, Business Plus is usually enough.
How Business Plus is licensed
Business Plus is licensed per user, for 1 to 300 users, on the Flexible Plan (monthly, add and remove users at any time) or the Annual/Fixed-Term Plan (one-year commitment, add users at any time, reduce only at renewal).
Because Vault retention keeps data for leavers, Business Plus Archived User licences are particularly useful: they keep a former employee's data searchable under your Vault rules and legal holds without paying for a full seat. Ask us for a quote on either plan.
Who Business Plus suits
Business Plus suits small and mid-sized organisations with record-keeping or investigation duties: financial advisers, solicitors, accountants, healthcare providers, recruiters and anyone handling regular subject access requests under UK GDPR. It also suits businesses with a mobile workforce where losing a phone means losing control of client data.
Vault is not a backup. It retains and finds data, but it cannot restore a deleted account or roll back a shared drive after ransomware or a bad sync. Pair Business Plus with Google Workspace backup such as Keepit for Google Workspace, Acronis Backup for Google Workspace or Redstor Google Workspace backup.

Does Business Plus include Google Vault?
Yes. Business Plus is the first Business edition with Vault, which provides retention rules, legal holds and eDiscovery search and export across Gmail, Chat, Drive and other services.
Is Google Vault a backup?
No. Vault retains and searches data for compliance, but it is not designed to restore accounts or files in bulk. Use a separate Google Workspace backup service for recovery.
Can Business Plus wipe lost phones?
Yes. Advanced endpoint management lets you enforce device policies, approve devices and wipe either the whole device or only the work account.
What happens when we pass 300 users?
Business editions are capped at 300 users. Beyond that, you move to an Enterprise edition, and we can plan the change with you.
