What Acronis Protected 365 is

Protected 365 is Acronis's answer: a set of capabilities that cover the tenant from several angles, all managed in Acronis Cyber Platform (formerly Cyber Protect Cloud) rather than in seven separate portals.

Collaboration security for Microsoft 365 protects the places attackers move to once email filtering improves. It scans files and links shared in Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive in near real time, using dynamic file and URL scanning, and it comes with a built-in 24/7 incident response service.
Security posture management for Microsoft 365 is a configuration watchdog. It assesses your Microsoft 365 security configuration with AI-driven risk detection, remediates selected issues automatically and reports centrally. The same Microsoft 365 posture monitoring and user management also appears in Acronis RMM.
How it is licensed
Through Forever Systems, Protected 365 is billed monthly on usage, so the cost scales with your users and falls when you remove leavers. Microsoft 365 backup is licensed per seat with unlimited Acronis Cloud storage; for the other capabilities we confirm the exact licence metric in your quote. A typical route is to start with backup and email security, then add collaboration security, posture management and training once those are bedded in.

Requirements and who it suits
The Microsoft 365 services connect through Microsoft's APIs: email security for Microsoft 365 needs no MX record changes, and backup and archiving need no agents. A Microsoft 365 administrator grants consent once. XDR coverage extends to your devices when they run the Acronis agent with Acronis XDR.
Protected 365 suits organisations that run almost entirely in Microsoft 365 and want one vendor for backup and security, particularly those with a small IT team, a cyber insurance questionnaire to satisfy or Cyber Essentials to maintain.
